We're right in the middle of board meetings - one of my favourite times in the BBB calendar.
All of our members step up and talk about what has happened in the first half of the year, and what their plans are for the second half. I want to talk about the importance of this.
If you're in a club like mine, you'll be doing it. If you’re not, I urge you to take stock.
We're just going into the second half of 2022. It's been an interesting year, but it's really important that we make time to take stock of what has happened and what we're going to do moving forward - to reset, regroup, and make the second half of the year count.
So here are the things that I think you should do.
Review the first half of the year.
· What went well?
· What didn't go so well?
· What were your primary learnings?
Then think about the second half of the year.
· What targets are you going to set?
· What do you want to bring forward from the first half into the second half?
· What do you definitely not want to bring forward?
· And what do you want to create in the second half?
Spend a little time reviewing that so that you can set up the second half of this year to really leverage what you learnt in the first half.
Most business owners don't do that. And I promise you there's huge value in taking time to do that process.
Really solidify the learnings from the first half. Don't take crap into the second half, but be really deliberate and intentional about what it is you want to create.
