There’s so much more to business than the service you provide or the products you sell. You have to love it all.
In this episode, I talk about the importance of loving all the activities you do, your products or service, your clients, your industry and your marketplace. Anything less will have you swimming against the tide.
If you only enjoy certain aspects of business, those are the tasks that will ultimately get done. The problem is, what if you’re like many of the businesses, and don’t enjoy sales? then Sales doesn’t happen, or if it does, it gets paid lip service and is done minimally through gritted teeth. This is a huge problem because sales drive growth and without a passion and enthusiasm for sales, yours won’t.
I’ve never met a business person who genuinely enjoys sales who isn’t either successful already, or on their way to being so. It’s obvious, right?
It’s not just sales, I’ve seen many business owners who don’t like dealing with the finances, managing or dealing with people. An apathy too, or disliking of these activities, inevitably holds your business back. Yes you can outsource, and you definitely should, but whatever is left on your plate, needs to be done, done well and consistently. And for that, it’s just easier and more productive to learn to love it.
