Even if it’s your spouse, your mother or your best friend, if the person dispensing advice isn’t 100% supportive of what you’re trying to do, you simply cannot trust their advice.
You see, they have a bias and possibly an agenda that are not aligned with yours. It’s almost certainly not a sinister motive and they probably have your best interest at heart, but that doesn’t mean you should heed what they have to say.
The person who backs your goals and is 100% supportive; when they offer criticism or advise, its probably worth listening. Assuming they have the relevant experience or knowledge, what they have to say is only coming from a place of helping you achieve your goals and your outcomes. Listen to these people and love the rest.
