We had an awesome team meeting last week with what I believe to be the single most amazing team in the entire universe. And every time I spend time with these guys – there are five of us plus myself and George - every time I spend time with them I love them just a little bit more.
The last team meeting that we did, we did something called The Vitality Test which I will share a link for in the comments below. It is an online free personality test. It's got a spiritual edge to it, but it's the five elements, basically. It looks at fire, wood, water, earth and steel.
What was really interesting was just how many of my team are earth and steel and a mix of those with a bit of fire thrown in. Really interesting. I am a wood energy, which is completely different to everybody else, and makes a lot of sense.
What was fascinating was really using it as an exercise to understand the team a little bit better, to understand the skills and the attributes that we bring to the table, and understand some of the challenges we face as individuals because of our varying different personality types. It was a brilliant session.
I highly recommend you doing this for you personally, but also for your team just to get a better understanding. I'm a big fan of understanding yourself and how you work. But if you've got a team, I highly recommend it. It really helped us understand each other and just makes me love my team a little bit more.
