Success and happiness starts with self-esteem

 

Sounds fluffy I know, but your self-esteem limits what you can achieve by setting the bar low for what
you feel you deserve. If you start to become more successful than you think you deserve to be, you’ll start to feel uncomfortable. Unconscious mechanisms will manipulate you ‘back to where you belong’. Equally, your overall happiness and wellbeing are directly linked to your self-esteem.

This is why it’s important to invest time in boosting your self-esteem and general sense of self. Here are just some of the ways you can positively impact your self-esteem:

1. Limit contact with people who knock you, bring you down or doubt your ability. Instead spend time with people who make you feel good about yourself.

2. Limit exposure to those environments that don’t support you in who you want to be – find your tribe, other people who understand the journey you’re on and what it is to be an entrepreneur.

3. Monitor your self-talk and don’t allow negative thoughts about yourself to go unchecked. Instead, make a conscious effort to initiate positive self-talk.

4. Keep a diary or journal and track your achievements each day, every day, no excuses.

A healthy self-esteem will raise the bar for what you deserve, and therefore what you can achieve. It will also massively and positively impact your overall experience and quality of life.
