How to keep going?

One of the questions I get asked the most is how do you keep going with the activity when you're not seeing any signs of the result? And I think this is a really tough one.

The unconscious, which is basically ruling the show, wants, in that situation, to pull back, withdraw, change strategy, pull the duvet over your head, have a large glass of wine. And it's hard to keep going with that activity when you're this side of the result. But I've worked with so many business owners and I see it time and time again.

The result will come. And more often than not, it comes just at the other side of when you were going to quit.

So, I’ve put a little five-step process together to help you stay on track with the activity that WILL get the result.

#1 - Reaffirm your why.

Why is it that you want this result? That will really help you with getting motivated for the activity - reaffirming your why, your sense of purpose behind the result that you want.

#2 - Let go of the outcome.

Now this sounds really counter-productive, but when we hold on really tight to the outcome that we've set, what happens is we close off opportunity for creativity and potential opportunities that we hadn't expected that could come in to help us achieve that result. So you need to let go a little bit.

#3 - Focus in on the activity and find the joy in the actual activity.

Find the reward in doing the daily, weekly - or whatever it is - consistent activity that you need to do. Find the joy in that and focus in on just being really good and consistent with the activity.

#4 - Have some faith in yourself.

I've no doubt you're smart, you're resourceful, and you're a highly deserving individual. Back yourself. Really, really back yourself in this. Have confidence in your ability to make this happen.

#5 - Keep going.

I mentioned consistency before. Consistency is absolutely key. You must keep going. This is absolutely critical.

And the number of calls I've had, where we’re this side of the result, and then I get the call maybe a couple of weeks later to say, not only has the result been achieved, but radically beyond what our expectations were for the result.

In fact, one of my members who has been consistently plugging away for months to get the results she was looking for, has literally gone from nought to billing 9K a month in just a few months.

So it is absolutely there for you. Keep on going. Consistency is key. You've got this.
