I’m often asked what do I think the key traits of successful people are. I’m also asked what it is I like most in terms of characteristics and personality traits of successful people.

You know what it is? It’s fight I love. People who fight. Fighting for what they want, for what they want to be; fight for what they want to create in this world. You don’t have to go out there and literally have a dust up with everybody in the world or all the world in general, but I’m telling you now you are going to have to dig deep. You’re going to have to dig in and you’re going to have to go a few rounds if you want to create the success that I hope you want to create for yourself.

If you’re trying to create change in the world, change for yourself or changing the world it’s going to resist you. Not because it hates you, not because it doesn’t want you to necessarily succeed, but because it is inert. That inertia we sometimes have to break through. Sometimes we move through with ease and we slip through and the going can be really easy. We can do personal development, we can do strategies, plans and we can get expert help sometimes. We can just slip through what otherwise could’ve been barriers.

Occasionally, the world is going to throw up a formidable opponent. You’re going to have to get the Dukes up, you’re going to have to go a few rounds with this thing in your life whatever it might be. It could be inner demons, or it could be resistance out there. To me one of the key characteristics of people who are fundamentally successful is their ability to fight. Fight for what they want, fight for what they stand for, fight for what they want to create out of life, fight for who they want to be. Don’t ever be ashamed to stand up and fight for what you want to create for yourself. It is a fantastic character trait and it is certainly one of those formidable characteristics traits that make successful people successful.

Dukes up, don’t fight everybody but every now and again somebody or something is going to pop up and you’re going to have to go a few rounds. You might not always win by the way, but as long as you keep getting back up, keep moving forward you will succeed. It is the only proven formula for success that’s ever been truly documented.

Until next time be successful
